Tasting Notes
Nose
Decadent and aromatic, the aroma is packed with rich chocolate and hazlenut, complimented by subtle ripe strawberry and bright herbal tones
Flavor
Citrus oils, burnt sugar and sandalwood lead the palate with layers of peppercorn and eucalyptus adding complexity
Finish
Earthy peppercorn creates a textural finish that lingers on the palate, rounded out by hints of toasted oak, cedar and eucalyptus
About the 117 Series
The Old Forester The 117 Series is a limited-release lineup of experimental bourbon expressions. Debuting in spring of 2021, each bottle is designed to explore different flavor profiles through variations in maturation, barrel sourcing, and finishing. Each bottle is unique, often tied to special events, warehouse characteristics, or cask finishes. Past releases include 1910 Extra Extra Old, Warehouse H, Bottled in Bond, Prohabition Era Still Proof and Scotch Cask Finish.
